Don’t think that every machine in the casino has a 99% payout percentage ratio. The tight machines will probably be located where people stand in lines to enter restaurants or shows or off by the rest room area, but there is no way of knowing for sure.  It doesn’t pay to ask the staff because they won’t know where.  The few members that do won’t tell you. The only thing the player can do is to study the layout of the casino and try to figure out the purpose of the different areas. Don’t play in areas where people spend time waiting because that area will most likely have tight machines. People don’t go to those areas to play for long periods of time.  The best thing that the player can do is to try different machines in different areas of the casino that he thinks are good. Play a few dollars and calculate the percentage return you receive. If it’s acceptable, say around 75%, then try a few more dollars and calculate the percentage return again. You won’t know the setting of the machine but if it’s not paying out at an acceptable level, then find another machine.
